Institute Park

Institute Park is a community resource and a true jewel to the city of Worcester. It is surrounded by a vibrant mix of residential, institutional, and commercial properties. The Park's history as the headwaters of the Blackstone River Corridor, as well as its use for summer concerts and other civic gatherings has allowed thousands of residents from Worcester and the surrounding towns, over the years, to benefit from the Park's tremendous natural attributes.

Neighbors of the park including members of Friends of Institute Park, Inc., a non-profit organization established to benefit and improve Institute Park, have accepted the responsibility to work with the City of Worcester to make sure Institute Park is a safe and well-cared-for resource.

Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra Summer Family Concert

Music / Singing - Performance

7:00 PM-9:00 PM

The orchestra, conducted by Myron Romanul, will present a concert entitled Magically Mozart. Soloist will be John Fullam, former MSO and Buffalo Philharmonic clarinetist. Funding, in part, is from the Worcester Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Concert announcer will be Bobbie Chase and this concert will be broadcast by Nick Chase on Monday, July 22 at 9 PM, on WCUW, 91.3 FM. (Rain date for the concert will be Sunday, July 21.)

Cost: free but donations accepted
